Top 10 in Mesa/Gilbert/Chandler/Phoenix area...yea, we get around.
1. Costa Vida-Val Vista and Baseline. Big freaking surprise, huh? For those of you who have not been yet or like Cafe Rio better.........you stink (I would come up with something better but I don't have the time to be witty)

2. Rositas mexican food in Chandler (Dobson and Guadalupe-ish?) This place is amazing. I don't know about you but pretty much my only requirement for mexican food restaurants includes free chips and salsa, which they have and it is amazing! Cooper's been going to Rositas since he was a kid...and we all know Cooper has amazing taste!;-) Ha!

3. For faster Mexican food- Los Favoritos on Cooper/Warner. Loved this place since high school. In fact, I marched in there after my high school prom- prom dress and all...and I spilt beans on my dress. SO.WORTH.IT.

4. Bahama Bucks- Did you guys know they have sugar free flavors? I promise you cannot tell its sugar free. Lets do the math on that, shall we? umm...zero calories, zero carbs, zero sugar...which means unlike the pudding dilemma I was faced with a couple months ago, you can consume six of them and not feel bad!
5. Golden Spoon frozen yogurt- I will forever be indebted to this place for giving me my first job and introducing me to its frozen goodness. I will, however, hate it forever for making me gain the freshmen 15 as a senior in high school. Yes, making me.6. Sub zero ice cream- Cooper/Stapley. Anything on Cooper road is OBVIOUSLY going to be amazing. Duh. This place is so neat, though...its like a science experiment right before your eyes. And I don't even like science!
7. Demas Italian- Power/Williamsfield. This place has amazing Calzones (they are Shay sized=HUGE) and is kind of in a random location so it is rarely ever busy! Did I tell you about that one time Cooper and I went there on a Wednesday night and some random guy was serenading us with Jimmy Buffett for 45 minutes since we were the ONLY ones in the whole restaurant.Awkward. Anyways...its yummy.
8. Rigatonys- Baked Rigatony pizza and unlimited Antipasto salad. Enough said.

9. Lolos chicken and waffles. I LOVE WAFFLES!

10. Logans roadhouse- 202 and Williamsfield. This place is similar to Texas Roadhouse, which is my favorite place but when I want my food I WANT MY FOOD and don't like waiting 45 minutes to get a table. Thus, Logans! No wait, free bread and peanuts...the rest is just a bonus!
Your turn- what are some of your favorite places? I need some different ideas that don't just include hamburgers and pizza! (but if they do I am still okay with that- lay it on me!)Again, this blog is going private, hopefully by Monday! So hurry and leave a comment for me with your email address so I can add you to my readers (thanks to those who already have!)...or just hurry and leave a comment with your favorite restaurant to help a girl out if you don't want to continue reading;-) Or Both! I don't hate.

I would have to disagree with Logan's Roadhouse, it's not anything near as good as Texas and the two times I've been there I've been disappointed. I would rather go to Texas mid week, or by 5 pm or after 8...then no big lines.
COSTA VIDA IS THE BEST!!!!! I'm pretty sure we've run into you guys there too! Haha. Ned's is really good and so is Nielsens. If you've never tried the finer things sandwich there you are seriously missing out. There is a place on Greenfield and University that has the BEST breakfast burritos. I don't know the name because the only times I've eaten them has been when my boss has brought me one, but I know it's next to the water and ice. Also Oreganos = Delicious. I could probably keep going as pathetic as that is but all this talk about food made me realize it's dinner time :) Maybe someday we can go eat somewhere together!
I AM JUST GLAD TO SEE LOS MADE IT IN THE TOP THREE!!
mmm... bad idea to read this on fast sunday.
i need to get muhself a boyfriend so he can take me to all those yummy places. i love breakfast food- so another place you should try (if you haven't already) is this place in downtown gilbert called.... i dunno. its right next to liberty market. i wanna say its called farmhouse or something? i've only been there once... but lemme tell you. best biscuits and gravy i've ever tasted. and HUGE portions! mmmm fooooooood!!! (ps if you haven't heard the song "big blond and beautiful" from hairspray you should read the lyrics... as i was listening i definitely thought of myself and my love of food and my ideas about serving sizes and what not haha i'm pretty sure you and i have the same thoughts... more=better. "why have the twig when you can have the whole tree?") haha ok... longest comment EVER

So pretty much your favorites are mexican, ice cream or italian! No wonder we are friends! Hahaha! Anyway, I think you have it but my email address is val_mcrae@hotmail.com
I love costa vida!! And Texas Roadhouse is probably my favorite place to eat. I hate waiting 45 min. to get seated though so Dan and I will have to check out this Logans Roadhouse. The two places I find Danny and I going often to are Grimaldis Pizzeria (danny is obsessed with their pizza!) and this mexican families backyard where they serve the best tacos ever! The first time we went to get tacos we were the only white people there lol, luckily danny speaks spanish and got to really know the sweet family that puts it together every friday and saturday night. Long story short but word spread and now I run into friends and ward members there all the time! If you and Cooper want to go sometime I can email you directions to their house.
